Sending email using some other host

  1. My site is hosted with DASP and use their email services.

I am aware that I can send emails from my website using localhost as the smtp server.

What if one of my users wanted to send email as [email protected] (in this case the smtp server would be somehing other than localhost)?

Can I have emails from my website be sent using some other mail host? Of course, I would ask for the user to store their server settings and their username and password to be authenticated by their own mail server.

It would also help for them to send email blasts using their own account rather than ours.

    Thanks,

    - JZ

  2. Yes, you can. You just have to specify the SMTP server and the user/pass. This should be fine.

  3. Thanks Jose.
