set HTTP Header "Expires" for image files?

  1. Hi - I want to be able to set HTTP "Expires" and "Cache-Control" headers on image files so that they are cached by the users' browsers. Can this be done?

    (mention has been made of using an Htaccess file, but I believe this is only for unix?)
