  1. If you're going to host your own DNS server, the best thing to do is log into your discountasp control panel and go to DNS Manager. Make sure the same settings are also implemented on your DNS server.

    rcp
    DiscountASP.NET
    www.DiscountASP.NET

  2. My domain is managedby Dyndns and simply points to my discountasp account. I would like to keep this setup rather than transfering the domain.

I have an MX record on Dyndnswhich works and my web mail has been working fine for months.
    mydomain 0 a.mx.discountasp.net.

This redirects my web mail site
    webmail.mydomain A 64.79.161.18

I also have a cname record which points to my web site
    www.mydomain CNAME account.web114.discountasp.net.

The problem I am having is accessing my mail account from outlook. (pop3 and smtp).
I've tried setting up the following records but they don't seem to work. (not sure where I got the IP's from)
    smtp.mydomain A 64.79.170.134
    pop3.mydomain A 64.79.170.134

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,
