Sharepoint host recommendations

Can anyone recommend a Sharepoint Server host provider, that I can connect with from my Asp.Net application hosted here?

I'm not all that experienced with Sharepoint, but it is my understanding I can use Sharepoint web services. I'd like to use it for its document management. Give regular (DASP) website users access to the frontend site, and more administrative users more direct Sharepoint access on the Sharepoint host, which will contain image type documents.

Also, while I'm migrating documents, I'm wondering if I could just migrate everything to Sharepoint, like user accounts and miscellaneous data. Does anyone know the reason why I would need an SQL database in addition to Sharepoint, or can Sharepoint be used instead of SQL server?
