  1. Hi,
Since the mail system was recently changed, we observe the following harmful phenomenon.

    1. A new mail arrives to my mail IMAP account and I am notified by a sound of my Outlook Express (OE).
    2. In OE's list of mails present in my Inbox,I select the arrived mail to provoke its retrival from the server (my OE "Read" options are set that way).
    3. In the OE's mail body panel I recive the message "Message is no longer available on the server" and the line (in the Inbox list of mails) corresponding to the mail is deleted (i.e. stroke through) but the command "Undelete" is w/o effect.
    4. So, using Internet Explorer (IE) I go to webmail.my_domain and I see that the mail in question is still there and I can read it.

I noticed that to avoid the phenomenon I succeed (in most of the cases) if I replace the step 2 by

2'. In OE's left-hand tree of all accounts
a.I select the Inbox of my account where the new mail arrived
    b. I selectthe account where the new mail arrived

c.I reselect the Inbox ofthe account where the new mail arrived
    d. I proceede with the step 2.

    Funny[IMG], isn't it ?
Did anybody experience a similar phenomenon ?
Any suggestions are welcome [IMG] .
    Jacek

  2. Thank you Bruce,

I shall try not to think about it anymore; kind of Zen attitude in the MS world.

    Regards,

That's very bizzare.... i have not heard anyone else has the same problem.

Both the old and new mail server uses the IMAP service and it should behave the same way.
