Speeding up INSERT & UPDATE clauses

    Microsoft's advice has been to not use cursors for that since SQL Server 2000 came out.
    Triggers are probably the quickest but schema SQL from ASP pages is a quick one-way trip too.

    What is the quickest CursorType to use when perfoming heavy duty updates (like updating 100+ rows in one go)?
