Does SQL 2008 R2 support Replication as a Subscriber on DASP? I've seen some threads from years past suggest no but wanted to confirm this still isnt available...thanks.
RayH- would it be possible to purchase a Windows 2008 Server hosting package with DASP, install SQL 2008 Express, and run Subscriber Replication that way?
No, I'm afraid not. We only provide shared hosting services. No dedicated or VPS solutions. There are also limitations to running SQL Server 2008 Express which include licensing issues. It was never meant to be deployed in a production environment. Microsoft intended SQL Server 2008 Express to be used by developers to test their application prior to deploying it in a production environment.
