  1. SQL has add-on features. Which ones do you support now and what is the schedule for the rest for example
    1) Notification Services
    2) Reporting Services (release 01/26/04) [Most Important!]
    3) Transaction Log Shipping [2nd most to create Hot stand by)
    4) Replication
    5) Backup / Restore
    6) Query Analysis Services
    thank you

Many of these features are not supported. Our SQL server is designed for shared hosting and not for enterprise typed deployment. I am doubtful that you can find any shared host that allow notification, log shopping and replication

SQL backup service is available from $15.

  3. 1) I was not aware that you are now offering SQL Backups. Do you have this defined, how the service works, what schedules are allowed etc...

2)Reporting Services is the most important to me - could you comment on that one please.

It is interesting your comment about this service being a shared environment, which I understand. But surely this does not exclude these features, although some I mentioned are definitly seperate. Also, the reason for reference to Log Shipping, is to create a warm stand-by for quick disaster recovery.

My fundemental expectation is not to have "Enterprise type development" but to have a prefessional and robust Transaction Environment. This to me includes access to the Transaction log, a backup plan and a distaster recovery plan, plus a method to gage the performance of my database(therefore the need for SQL profiler).

I hope these points and questions are useful and common to other DASP customers
