SQL database for Membership

I have a web site with a password protected Members section. I have 50 members installed and all work properly on the net so I know that the database is current. When I look in the SQL data file in vw_aspnet_membershipusers in the Web Site Administrative Tool, I see only two records that are dated 2/21/2010, Both of these were test entries that have been deleted.
Why are these two entries visible and the active 50 entries not visible?

Is it looking at a local Express DB while your site is using SQL Server?
