sql reporting services spacing problem

i have a report form that i created that contains a list nested within another parent list. anyways, when i go to preview it displays the reports exactly the way i want them to be, however whenever i go to print preview or go to print out the reports it shows up all goofy. what i mean by this is the data does not fill up the entire page as it did in preview mode, sometimes it will go to half page and stop. another strange problem is that in print preview mode every other page is just blank for some reason. any ideas what is causing this? thanks
