  1. I already submitted a ticket for my issue, but I wanted to ask the forum if anyone else was having issues as well. Please find my help desk ticket with the issue description. Please note that I have previously done all of the things that I mention belowwithout any issues, so I suspect this is a discountASP.net problem. Thanks

"My website is down and none of the pages that call the database are working. Pages that don't call the database work fine and are viewable online. I assume this is an error with your database server.

For your information, I did do some things immediately before the site went down:

    1. I recycled the App Pool. I had an issue once before that required a recycle, so now I make it a habit to recycle the App Pool once a week or so.

    2. I deleted the current .Bak version of my database and created a new .bak file. I then FTP'd the new backup to my local machine using SmartFTP.

    3. I selected my entired directory structure and used SmartFTP to copy the files from your server to my local machine for burning to CD.

In the middle of the FTP transfer, I visited my site and received a page not found error. I thought this was strange, but perhaps related to the FTP transfer load, so I waited until the transfer was complete and tried my site again. It failed again. But as I said above, the pages without dynamic data worked and were visable.

I logged into the Control Panel at discountASP.net to see what was going on. I found that my database wasn't found in the Database Management >> MS SQL 2005 pages. When I visited the tab to restore the database from the backup that I just made, I received an error message that said my database was too large to backup or restore. I didn't even have the option to click any buttons or load the path of my .Bak file because the error message was there instead.

Also, I have two databases in my hosting account, and the other one wasn't visable either."

it seems that the issue occurred when we were having issues when we had DDOS attack. The DDOS issue has been resolved, i am wondering if your issue is no longer been experienced
