  1. I have been told that I can use SQL Server Studio Express to access my DiscountASP.Net account on line and work with the SQL Server 2005 account that I have.

    Is this true?

Or, is there any other tool such as myLittleAdmin that allows me to work with my db directly?

I am used to working with a mySQL db through phpMyAdmin. It is a great program, but I want to move to a SQL Server db ASAP.

    Any help would be appreciated...

    Thanks

yes. You should be able to connect to our database via Management Studio.

No. We do not have a web interface for SQL 2k5 because the client tool is so readily available.

    John,

    i am confused.
"Web Data Administrator" with two options, IIS or "Cassini" should have nothing to do w/ SQL Management Studio Express!!

What did you download and installed?

  4. Obviously the wrong thing

    I downloaded a file called: SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi

    from the Microsoft website

  5. OK Bruce,

I have the right program running...it's a long story, don't ask...

How do I make a connection to the remote server on my hosted site at DiscountASP ?

I have a login window, but I do not see how to connect via the web...

  6. Thanks Bruce, that's great.

I had actually downloaded and installed the software already, but after trying several things, I can not log in.

The only thing that shows up on my menu is the "Web Data Administrator" with two options, IIS or "Cassini".

What should I do at this point? Or is there a website that I need to log into first?

In other words what do I do now?

    Thanks

    John
