sql2k514 Server

Tried logging in tonight using SQL Server Management Studio Express, get the following error:


"Cannot connect to sql2k514.discountasp.net.

A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 53)"

I don't recall any outtage annoucenments, and it's not listed in the forums... Perhaps I shouldn't be working on a Friday night, but so it goes.

My Setup

I don't know the exact answer to that, (I'm assuming the only other choice would be FTP) but I have historically had no problems with Management Studio Express with my 2 accounts at DASP.

But I hadn't connected in a while, so I was curious if that server was down or had been updated recently. If it doesn't connect tonight, I'll definitely check out the linky and respond accordingly.

Hmm... Logged in fine tonight. Didn't change anything. Not even a reboot since Friday.

Dunno. Maybe the server popped off for a pint at happy hour.
