Today, my security software informed me that sqlservr.exe was trying to access the internet. I have been running sql for sometime, and never got this before. I do believe there have been attempts to attack myresources lately (programs appearing, security software blocking certain ip addresses fromtrying to access my machine, etc.) Trying to track down and prevent any breach of security, and wondered about this latest sign.
Not intentionally. I took a minute to read about HTTP endpoint. This is not something I knowingly turned on or used. Wonder if there is a way for me to tell if it is turned on inadvertently. I did go ahead and block sqlservr.exe from trying to access the internet. Seemed weird to me. Any suggestion?
I never seen this before. Did you make any changes to your SQL server? like enabling HTTP endpoint Bruce DiscountASP.NET www.DiscountASP.NET
