I've only done this with Verisign but it doesn't surprise me that GoDaddy can issue certificates now. Please read the notes on this page, toward the bottom, concerning GoDaddy: http://kb.discountasp.net/article.aspx?id=10480
How does this happen? My domain provider is godaddy and discountasp.net is my host.b I created certificate request and had it approved by godaddy and they sent me the following... We have successfully completed the authentication process and issued your SSL certificate for the domain: www.sharshefashions.com I tried to download the certificate and open it... I can not, my computer will not allow it. I sent it to discountasp.net to install, no answer as of yet? What am I suppose to do?
just send the cert. We'll get back to you if there's a problem installing it. BTW, for those who have not purchased their SSL cert yet, don't buy from godaddy because their root cert is a mess. We recommend using single root cert rather than chained cert such as godaddy. See http://kb.discountasp.net/article.aspx?id=10479 Bruce DiscountASP.NET www.DiscountASP.NET
