  1. I'm a bit confused in getting multiple communities set up using the Community Starter Kit. I know the CSK can handle multiple communities from one installation but dunno how to get it working. I've had a read through Matthew Roche's tutorial at http://csk.matthewroche.com/Articles/3450.aspxbut still am a bit confused (it could cuz I'ma bit of a dunce...). How can I go about getting a subdomain and having it point to the right community? Do I do that through my domain name registrar? Or can I do it in the DASP.NET control panel?

Thanks in advance for you help!

Do you have the unlimited subdomain addon enabled yet?

  3. Hey bruce... whew; finally got to this post -- got busy doing other things and this got pushed to the backburner..

Anyhoo, no I don't have unlimited subdomains. Is it any cheaper for only 1 subdomain?? Is there another way?

Thanks for your help (and for being patient with my limited knowledge...)

  5. Alrighty,I have activated the unlimited subdomains on DASP but am running into problems setting up my ISPAdmin.

My initial community (that was installed by DASP) contains the following info (let's assume it's www.mysite.ca):
    Community Name: Community1
    Primary Domain: mysite.ca
    Community Domain: *
    Community Subdomain: *

I wish to set up the following: www.bgsa.mysite.ca
What are the parameters I need to change??? Do I need to change the initial configuration, or just the configuration of the new community? I had a read thru Matt Roche's"Multiple Communites"article on his website, and thought I did everything right, but I'm not getting the proper result.... I'm a bit confused...

Thanks for your help in advance!

  6. AHA! I figured it out. It was the * in the subdomain that was throwing everything off. When I changed my original community to "www", then my new sub-communities worked fine...
