The file '/keepalive/ping.ashx' does not exist.

Hi there,

We have the Elmah error reporting module on our site, and we just started to receive the following error over & over again:

Code:

System.Web.HttpException: The file '/keepalive/ping.ashx' does not exist.

I've never seen this error before and we haven't made any changes lately that I can think of.

Can anyone shine a light on this? I'm getting emailed every minute or 2 with this error, so really need to figure it out.

That directory and file don't exist in your account, but an application somewhere is looking for them. You'll have to look at whatever application you're using that might make use of a keepalive function. But the error itself is pretty straightforward.

 

Thanks, yes sorry I understand the error message - just wasn't sure if this is something specific to DiscountASP as we just migrated our site here recently and have never seen this error before.
