In many cases, there are forums where unanswered topics are closed without the ability to reply, forcefully removed by a moderator or eventually removed through some type of pruning ability but we do leave the topics intact in the event that someone has a similar question and usually the topics are bumped. What I'd recommend doing is just responding to your own post that contains follow up information for anyone else who might have the same question in the future, it really does become useful. -W Winston DiscountASP.NET
