trouble adding a new user

    I used the User Manager in the Control Panel to add a new user, his password, and disk quota, and then logged off. However, when I log back on using that new user's name and password, I get 'Username and Password not recognized.'

    I know I'm typing it in right, because I logged back in under my main account username and password, deleted the user's name and pass, and added it again very carefully, but still got the same error message when I logged back on using the new user's username and password.

    Does anyone know what's going on?

    The Control Panel User Manager is used to create new users for say when you want to password protect your site. This tool is not used to create new logins to the Control Panel.
