  1. Hi,
Since you posted here in the IIS7 section I figured you were running Classic ASP on IIS7.
Look in your Control Panel in the Account Info area, it will show which server type you are on.
I've attached two images that show where to find the Server type and how the IIS7 Pipeline Mode area looks.

  2. dear Mark,

thanks again for your reply, but it seems i have it different from you :(

Here is my server type in my account information :

    Datacenter Location: North America (USA)
Web Server Type: Windows 2003 - IIS 6.0

And as i sent to you on my last picture, i don't know where you get that combobox for the pipeline mode setting. It doesn't appear on my CP in ISS TOOLS

If you have any new idea, i'm all yours !!

    thanks for your help

    best regards,
    William

  3. Hi,
You are running Windows Server 2003, not IIS7.
Your post should have been in the Classic ASP section:
    http://community.discountasp.net/default.aspx?f=13

I did some checking and found examples of Classic ASP pages in French.
Apparently there is a problem with the ISO meta tag you are using.

Use these two meta tags instead and see how it works:

  4. dear All,

I have checked the knowledge base but haven't found any reply, and hope you can help me to solve that technical issue

I don't know what's happening on my website hosted on DiscountASP servers because i don't have that problem with my previous host (sleekhost.com for information).

The french special caracters when they are read from DiscountASP server are not correctly displayed.

For example, please check that page :

    http://wizstorecom.web132.discountasp.net/wiz-import/produit/index.asp?reference=2869

on the bottom, you have in red that sentance which is written like that :
    Veuillez indiquer la quantité souhaitée

whereas is should be written like that :
    Veuillez indiquer la quantité souhaitée

you can have a look at the webpage hosted by my old host (sleekhost.com) at this page :
    http://www.wiz-import.com/produit/index.asp?reference=2869

this problem doesn't happen whereas it's the same code sources...

I have a friend told me to change my header and adding the following :
    <meta http-equiv='Content-Type' content='text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1' />
    <meta http-equiv='Content-Language' content='fr'>

I did that but it changes nothing!

Could you please check and let me know where this bug comes from?

    thanks for your help!

    Best Regards,
    Guillaume BERREBI

  5. Hi,
The site being Classic ASP on IIS7 I'd suggest changing the Application Pool Pipeline Mode to Classic.
    1. Log into your Control Panel.
    2. On the left click on IIS Tools.
    3. Use the combobox to change the Pipeline Mode to Classic, from Integrated.

    Salute,
    Mark

  6. dear Mark

    thanks for your reply!!

Sorry to bother you again though! i have clicked on ISS TOOLS in my CP and as you can see in the print screen in attachment i can't find any combobox to change the Pipeline Mode to Classic, from Integrated.

Any way you can check again and let me know where to change that setting?

sorry for the annoyance and thanks again

    take care
    William
