Hi there, Has anyone been able to host Community Server 2007 Express Edition (or any other) @ DiscountASP.NET? I've just installed it (with 1 empty forum, 1 empty blog and 2 registered users) but the web application is recycled very frequently (sometimes every 7-10min). This is very annoying. I received an email from DiscountASP.NET admins suggesting it might be memory threshold (max. 100 MB) issue. Does it meanit's impossible to use CS 2007 at all? regards, bartek
We tested community server 2007 and it doesn't occur to us that it uses this much memory. Bruce DiscountASP.NET www.DiscountASP.NET
The best way to test this out is to set it up on a test box on your network. Please insure that you input these conditions... 1) More than 20 minutes of idle time (no http request in 20 minutes) 2) The application uses more than 100 MB memory 3) The application uses more than 75% of CPU time If you web application hits any of these thresholds, then it is safe to say that it is also doing it on our servers. rcp DiscountASP.NET www.DiscountASP.NET
I have Community Server 2007 and now 2007.1 running on discountasp. I've noticed simular behavior as well in the system logs CS has. When I first created the site I noticed many restarts. Over time it seems to be less frequent. Why I don't know. Something I need to dig into when I get the time. Frenchy
