Ultra Video Gallery for DotNetNuke

Hi,

I am currently developing a video site for a local sport league and wanting to use DotNetNuke for this as the CMS. The Ultra Video Gallery module for DNN seems to be a great solution as some of the user will not be knowledgable in encoding themselves. DNN was on the list for DiscountAsp as one of the CMS list. My question is will I be able to use this module for DNN on your server? Will UVG be allowed to encode videos that user uploaded on the fly?

Encoding? Unlikely. Though I say that not knowing exactly how that DNN module works (and I don't recall anyone else mentioning it here). But typically such operations are not allowed as they tend to use a lot of resources.

In general, DNN runs better in an isolated application pool (which we use) the fewer modules it uses. The only way to know for sure whether it will work for you would be to try it. You can always open an account here to test and if it doesn't work out for you, you can cancel within 30 days and get a full refund.
