  1. Hi,

I am thinking of changing to SQL server 2k5. Can i develop this locally on SQL server express and use Visual studio express and then upload to your sql server?

    Thanks

    Unfortunately no.

You'll have to manually migrate the data.

We are working on various method to make transfer of SQL 2k5 database simpler. Until a solution is developed, you'll have to manually migrate the data.

  4. If you're just interested in playing with it, you can play and learn withsql express locally, then when you develop something you need to be online, you can add the sql server addon to your account.

i also recommend buying developer version of MS SQL 2k5. It's quite affordable. I think you can get it in most online stores for $60 or so.
