  1. Hi,

    New here.

I have two domains, mydomain.com and my-domain.com and would like to forward the second to the first. I do not care about masking. my-domain.com is registered with godaddy and I do not see a way to forward just the URL.

I did try forwarding the domain and that worked but knocked out the my-domain.com email hosted here with discountasp.net as it was being forwarded to mydomain.com. We use mydomain.com email as a primary email but my-domain.com email is used as a back up to our exchange server and needs to still forward to discountasp.net

Did i miss the URL forwarding option at godaddy or is there a better way to accomplish this through discountasp.net?

    Thanks, I appreciate the help.

    Kent

  5. Just got a reply back on my support ticket. I was told it was possible but best handled through this forum... kind of confused here

I found your support ticket and looked up the domains and it seems that you have two separate accounts, one for the hyphenated domain and another for the unhyphenated domain.

The simplest way to approach this would probably be to get a unique IP on the mydomain.com account (you can do that by ordering the Unlimited Subdomain Addon). Once you have done that, you can go to the DNS manager in Control Panel and change the A records for my-domain.com and www.my-domain.com to point to the unique IP for mydomain.com. That will direct the web traffic only to the mydomain.com account and leave the other DNS records (and mail) functioning as they are.
