Use of IIS Manager

Discussion in 'Windows / IIS' started by apwestgarth, Mar 6, 2008.

  1. Hi,
I'm very pleased with the speed with which my account was migrated to IIS7 on Windows 2008.

One quick question is it possible to manage my account using the IIS Manager, like I was able to with the IIS7 Beta?

    Thanks

    Andrew

Yes. You can use IIS Manager to connect to the server.

Note that the list of available feature is less than that of the beta service because of security reasons.

  3. Hi Thanks for the reply but I'm still having issues with this. I've tried connecting to server, site or application entering the details:

my domain name and or my application name where applicable
the username and password which I have designated as allowed to connect via the control panel option (MS IIS Manager)

and each time I get a 401 error in the MS IIS Manager Application.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks

    Andrew
