  1. OK, I have connected to my DiscountASP server with SQL Server Express

How do I access my db itself?
Whenever I click on it, etc, it says that my login does not have permission...

Do I need to register somewhere?

Is there a book or instructions for first time uses? The help files did not help much.

    Any help would be great...

  3. I am logged in and I have the screen showing the following folders on a screen that has the tree to the left and an open screen on the right.

    Databases

    Security

    Server Objects

    Replication

    Management

At this point I don't totally know what to do, but if I choose Databases it expands and I can see all of the db's including mine

    Then what should I do?

If I double click on my db I get this error:

The database SQL2005_358660_carznet001 is not accessible. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Express.ObjectExplorer)

    What do you suggest?

Would you accept a phone call from me to walk through it? Is there such a support at DiscountASP? I do not mind paying a fee for this type of training...

    Thanks,

    John

  7. Just an FYI:

You seem to be doing the right steps. When I see the list of all the databases and click on my database it expands and shows all my database folders. If I click on someone else's database, I get the same error you did about not being accessible.

  8. Thanks mlinder,

that is what I would expect as well. Obviuosly my login is not set up correctly, etc

    I will work on that.

    Thanks again,

    John
