visual studio 2010 web project "shell"

i was a programmer over 10 years ago, mcsd, but before .net, never used vs. recently i wrote a whole vb web project in vs 2010, - on the default page, there is an inner part i can access to put controls on etc., but i don't know how to access the outer part that sez "my asp.net project", and has a link to a login page - how do i access this so i can change things? also, what exactly is this outer part? thanks
