VWD 2008 Express Edition -- Deployment Issues

I am using Visual Web Developer (VWD) 2008 Express Edition to deploy my test site by following KB (Knowledge Base) article 72: "How do I deploy a Visual Studio 2008/2005 or Visual Web Developer 2008/2005 web project from my local computer to the DiscountASP.NET servers?"

I can see all the files on the remote host: ftp://www.senfamath.com,
but failed to use the following:

Log into your control panel and enable the directory as a web application root using the Web Application tool. (last step in KB article 72)

Could someone inform me how to see the files on www.discountasp.net and how to enable the directory as a web application root?
