I've tried this from two computers and I get the same thing. From VWDE and Visual Studio both, when I click on web.config in Solution Explorer it freezes the app. I have to cntl-alt-delete and restart it. I do not have the problem on a new account I created recently at DiscountASP.Net (using 2.0 from scratch),it's just from my old account (1.1) that I upgraded to 2.0 using the control panel. Has anyone else seen this happen? Any ideas? I can ftp directly and edit the web.config file no problem. I tried both passive and not-passive FTP from VWDE. Thanks, -Walter
Sounds like a bug to me!!! Honestly, VWD / VS.NET 2k5 is not the most stable product out there yet. We have seen at least 3 bugs since it's launch. Bruce DiscountASP.NET www.DiscountASP.NET
I've seen a few weird bugs with vs.net. I've had my vs.net lock when opening a site. I let it sit for about 20 min and it was fine after that. I haven't had that happen in a while, but I have seen weird things with vs.net. I'm also suspecting this is a vs.net bug. Try leaving your vs.net for 30 min, it may play nicely after that. But then again, who knows. Joel Thoms DiscountASP.NET http://www.DiscountASP.NET
