  1. I have a domain with you called BigOLawnBeta.com, I want to now point HelpMeTithe.com there.. I completely want to get rid of BigOLawnBeta.com What are the steps to do that. This is different from my previous post. I forgot I had that account with you and I don't need it (BigOLawnBeta.com) anymore. I don't want to cancel my account I just want to point helpmetithe.com there. Is that as easy a domain pointer?

  2. Also forgot to mention HelpMeTithe.com is with Yahoo.com, so I assume I will have to point it discountasp.net. Correct?

  3. Contact Support and they'll be able to help you:
    http://support.discountasp.net

Also, you will need to change the name servers of the domain to go to:

    ns1.discountasp.net
    ns2.discountasp.net
    ns3.discountasp.net

  4. Okay I did everything that is above, including the following I did at yahoo.com (this was after billing did whatever they did)

    1. I changed my Nameserver as indicate above (primary, secondary, additional)
    2. I removed my forward that was going to mcodemedia/helpmetithe/default.aspx

Now I am getting the under construction webpage, I believe is coming from Yahoo.com

Is is because it takes some time for the name server changes to take place?

Do I need to worry about MX Records

what about A and CNAME records? current values

    Type: Source: Destination:
A Record helpmetithe.com Yahoo! IP Address
    CNAME Record *.helpmetithe.com Yahoo! Hostname
    CNAME Record ftp.helpmetithe.com Yahoo! Hostname
    CNAME Record mail.helpmetithe.com Yahoo! Hostname

  5. helpmetithe.com works, but www.helpmetithe.com did not (notice the WWW), I had to go into yahoo and add a CNAME record of Source: www.helpmetithe.com and the destination was helpmetithe.com. It is working now and I hope I did it all right..

  6. Okay now it is broke again.. perhaps I need to wait for things to propagate!!!

  7. Yes you should always allow some time for DNS to fully propagate, did everything work out?
