  1. What does the "web application tool" do ? I tried creating a new "web application" but I do not see a new subdirectory in my account when using FTP ? I know this is supposedly an "advanced" tool but more documentation would be good.

You'll have to create the directory before you create an application.

We are working on creating more documentation for our control panel.

  3. After verifying my assumption about what "Web Application Tool" does I created the text below that I suggest you add to the documentation (until someone gets around to doing a better job than I did).
    ---
The Web Application Tool allows users to register a new application directory for their .NET application. After manually creating a new directory in your account (via FTP), and a new "bin" subdirectory, the "Web Application Tool" allows the new directory to be registered such that .dlls can be found in the new bin subdirectory, and web.config files can then be used that are specific to the new application directory.

I hope this helps and that it is correct.
