  1. Hi, since a couple of days I cannot publish changes of my website on Visual Studio 2012 (express for web).
    I get this error:
I downloaded again the publish profile file from the control panel, no luck. the publish wizard validates my credentials ok, I can start the preview too and I can get the list of files.. but when I hit the publish button the error of above appears.
everything was fine, until the last server update maybe?
    Thanks for your help.

    Can you try again now.

If you're still having an issue please contact our support department and provide them with screen shots of the settings you're using to web deploy.

Also, make sure you assigned the IIS Permissions to your user through the control panel. This in found in the IIS Tools section under MS IIS Manager tab.

  3. Thanks for your reply. I tried again with the default settings but I get the same error. My default user has permissions in IIS, I created a new one and test with it but looks like I need to deploy the whole site again using that user, so I didn't click the publish button (got validated though).

One thing I notice is that in the new downloaded user profile, the path of the website ends with "/myapp", like "http://www.mysite.com/myapp" but I already published in the root "http://ww.mysite.com" so I changed it beacuse it will deploy all the site again in that new path.

I searched for the same problem:
    http://www.iis.net/learn/publish/tr...ooting-web-deploy-problems-with-visual-studio

this error occur mostly from a server configuration issue, but I don't if anyone else have the same problem?

I will contact tech support then, thanks again.
