Hello Everybody, I am looking for some guidance with the following issue. When I am in the process of publishing my website to our host server, any user who interacts with any webpage on the site is shown an error that "assembly components are missing." Well yes they are missing obviously since their being edited, but how to stop this displeasing error to appear to my users. All my pages have error traps but that has no effect. I understand that the publishing time is short, however I am concerned for my user. Thanks in advance. Happy Holiday! Blue
You can try placing app_offline.htm page in your root with a custom message in it so the users will see your custom message during the updates. In case your application is MVC, please see this post for the instructions on how to set it properly:
