website not visible

    Without knowing what your domain name is, I can't check anything. Assuming you are using an existing domain with your hosting account with DiscountASP.NET, Iwould guess that it may be that the name servers have not updated or DNS caching. Have you updated your domain name servers to point to our DNS? If you have made the update, remember that DNS updates are not instant and takes about 2-3 days for the new DNS information to propogate through the Internet. If the alternate ftp/url is working, then everything on our side is functioning.

    Hi,

    I was trying to upload my site using ftp.mydomain.com but i could not login to the account. So i uploaded using the alternative ftp URL. But my domain urlstill shows the default page of my domain. Am not able to view my site, but am able to see the site using the alternative url. pls help

    Sounds correct. the alternate ftp / url points to the same folders as normal ftp and url. So if they differ, then it's usually a DNS issue.

    Thanks Eric & Thomas the problem was with the DNS name servers , they had not been updated. Thanks for your and sorry for the late replt :)
