Who owns my Doman Name ?

This is my first WEB site and to keep it simple and minimize start-up problem Iregistered my doman name throughDiscountASP.net.

My question is Who own my doman name. DiscountASP.NET OR Me ??????

So what your saying is if I wanted (which I don't) to move my site to a different host I could change the doman name to point to the new site at a different hosting service.


I'm just tring to understand how thing work since this is all new to me.
