Hello, I'm new to the forum and our company just signed up and switched our server over to DiscountASP.NET. Our old server was running a wiki using MediaWiki(MediaWiki). The support staff has told me that I will not be able to run MediaWiki because it requires MySQL. So I did some research and it seems that there is a how-to on installing ScrewTurn Wiki. This doesn't seem to be a problem, but I posted here for two reason... 1) Has anyone looked into getting MediaWiki (or any other wiki's) to run on these servers? 2) Does anyone know an easy way to migrate all the pages that were created on the old wiki to the new wiki? Thank you!
The only way you could run MediWiki here is to use a remote MySQL database (recently discussed here as it applies to WordPress, but the concept is the same). The ScrewTurn forum has a few posts asking for a MediaWiki importer, so I assume they do not have one yet. But you might want to check with their support and see if that is the case.
Thanks, I got ScrewTurn Wiki up and running and manually imported the majority of our old wiki stuff. The only thing I'm missing is a calendar. I searched the web but couldn't seem to find a calendar plug-in for this wiki. Does anyone have one?
