  1. I can not honestly answer that but yes if it were me I'd give it a shot.

  3. Hi all,

First of all. I'm not DiscountASP customer now, but seriously looking into hosting my membership website here.

    Here are my requirements:

    - Daily unique visits will grow from few hundreds to few thousands.
    - 10-20 pageviews (with some processing and db queries) per visit.
    - There will be some piked traffic (generated from marketing campaigns) which may generate up to 10,000 unique visits per day for a few days (but with less average pageviews per visit).

Would a normal account at DASP be able to run this kind of site?

If not, is there any other plan here at DASP suitable for my requirements? I couldn't find any other hosting plan here except for the standard one.

    Any suggestion/opinion is highly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Kenny

  4. These sort of things are always a gamble nowadays...
Take for example all the sites that get Farked daily, none of them expected it. [IMG]

I have run large community sites here that did similar to what you describe.
In my case the page hits would increase when bug reports were released for SDKs.
Then the hits would drop off until interest arose again.

The decision for you would need to be the cost of a Dedicated server that can always handle this.

In my opinion, for the cost, you can not go wrong to at least give it a shot with DASP.

Not a DASP employee, just a big fan. [IMG]

  5. So you meant DASP could take this kind of load?
