DiscountASP typically adds a project prefix to a user name submitted by the clients using TFS services (e.g., PROJ1_jhowlan). Yet, there is no room or field to add an email address for the username which gets created. This in turn makes it difficult to set up and use the various alerts within TFS, such as Build Failure Alerts. I would like the User Manager console to also include a field for email addresses that will link into TFS so that when we create an alert, by picking the username from a list, the email address automatically gets populated. Thoughts?
I'll have to do a bit of research to see if the e-mail setting can be modified through the TFS API or if there's a different way we can implement the idea. If it's something that we can pull off, I'll get in contact with the development team.
