SSIS Alternative

I have a host of large table updates which need to happen on a regular basis. Although I realize that SSIS packages are not supported, I'm wondering what my alternative would be? I can create an SSIS package locally, but running in debug mode makes it last several times longer than it would running from the server. What does a person use when massive table updates are needed regularly (specifically, multiple INSERTs from a local database to the website database)?
